Ironic that he was involved in attempts to organize a "Union" militia in Winston County and married a widow of a confederate soldier who died from wounds in the war. I take it that the following is saying she applied for a confederate pension in Arkansas on the service of her first husband, B.W. Roquemoe, after the death of her second husband, Silas Morphew......

Sophronia A. Morphew, Langley, Pike County, Arkansas (widow) of Benjamin W.
Roquemore (June 25, 1917) ... "aged 77 years ... born at Morgan County in
the State of Georgia, April 13, 1840 ... the former widow of Benjamin W.
Roquemore who served as a soldier in the army of the Confederate States,
being a member of Company H., 43 Regiment of Infantry Volunteers, from the
State of Alabama, that he died on the 27 or 28 of March 1865 from gunshot
wound of the left lung received at the battle of Hatcher's Run, Virginia,
25 day of March 1865 ... that she was remarried to Silas Morphew at Walker
County, Alabama, December 31, 1868, and that he died at Pike County,
Arkansas on the 30 day of March, 1906." (Marriage Certificate) State of
Georgia, Newton County: You are authorized and permitted to join in the
Honorable State of Matrimony, B.W. Roquemore and Sophronia Davis according
to the rites of your church, provided there be no lawful cause to obstruct
the same, according to the constitution and laws of this State, and for so
doing, this shall be your sufficient license. Given under my hand and seal
this 16 day of September 1856. Wm. D. Luckie, Ordinary (L.S.). To any
Minister of the Gospel, Judge, Justices of the Inferior Court or Justice of
the Peace, to Celebrate: I, hereby certify that B.W. Roquemore and
Sophronia A. Davis were joined together in the holy bans of matrimony, 18
day of September, 1856 by me. J.H. Montgomery, M.G. Recorded November 26,
1856. Wm. D. Luckie, Ordinary. J.N. Sutton aged 34 years and S.D. Sutton
aged 80 years, citizens of Pike County, Arkansas "well acquainted with
applicant Mrs. Sophronia A. Morphew, former widow of Benjamin W. Roquemore
and have known her all his (affiant's) life and 38 years, respectively.
