David Mullins, Co K 41st Tennessee Infantry

Y'all were so helpful with my first request I'm throwing out another. I have a little more information on this one. David Mullins of Flat Creek, Bedford County, Tennessee joined in 1861 with several other from the same area. He entered as a private and his ending rank was sergeant. Several were captured in 1862 at Fort Donelson. David Mullins was held as a prisoner of war in Camp Morton and exchanged later (may have been captured a second time but I have no record of this). I have letters that he wrote home from Camp Morton; Corinth; Port Hudson; and Chattanooga. I know that he was admitted to a hospital in Atlanta on 15 May 1864 with a gunshot wound and transferred out on 7 Jul 1864. His date of death is listed as 31 Jul 1864 & he is buried in the Confederate Cemetery in Forsyth, GA. I believe he may have been wounded at Reseca, GA but again do not know for sure. Also dying on the same day was Lt. James Yancy Norman from the same regiment. I am curious about both dying on the same day. Was there some incident that is not generally known that caused this. No record was found of Lt. Norman being a patient in Atlanta.
