No I am not yet sure where he was in 1860. According to the letter from his nephew. Thomas Howle's body was left on the field so no I doubt he would be buried back in Alabama. I'll have to track down those relatives of his on rootsweb. The ones with the most info bounced. I had hoped that the middle initials would narrow it down but maybe not. Besides one of them could have made a mistake on that, I'll check into it further. Eventually he'll be narrowed down. Thanks for your help.
