48th AL at Gettysburg
Can anyone provide me more detailed information on the role of the 48th AL Infantry at Gettysburg? Also, where would a soldier with this regiment who was killed at Gettysburg be buried, aside from an "unknown" at Gettysburg? The soldier's name was Green H. Wigginton (various spellings) of Co. I, 48th AL and he was killed on 7/2/63 (some records say 7/3/63). Any information is appreciated. Thanks!
