Mike Foster - My research hows that both Waldrop brothers, Matthew and Sebron, were captured in the first days fighting along Willoughby Run creek west of Gettysburg. They were taken quickly through Gettysburg town and shipped eastward. They would spend many months at Fort Delaware prison on Pea Patch Island in the Delaware River near Wilmington.

They both appear on page 314 of my book Also For Glory- The Pettigrew-Trimble Charge at Gettysburg and the actions of their company on day one appears on pages 37-40 and page 64.

My records show that they were both age 24 when in action at Gettysburg. Do you know if they were twins by any chance?
