In Response To: Jack M. Williams ()

Steve --

The name should be Jackson M. Williams, Co. "A", 20th Alabama Regiment. Original members remembered the company name as the "Brooks Ligt Infantry". This man was captured when Confederate lines collapsed south of Nashville TN, Dec. 16, 1864. He spent the remainder of the war (and a little longer) at Camp CHase OH.

Copies of his extensive service file are available through this message board.
