Re: Gravel Hill, March 24, 1865

Robin,
I am not certain of the location of Garner Cemetery. A soldier from the 33rd Alabama Regiment named Levi Garner is recorded as buried at Garner Cemetery in Butler County. He was from Garland, at least at the time of his death in 1920. Butler CR # 5 is a short stretch that extends south from Alabama 10 approx. 2 miles east of the Wilcox line through the community of Butler Springs and ends at the intersection with CR # 7. If you are coming from north or south, exit at Alabama 10 and proceed west approx. 10 miles, passing through the Liberty community to the intersection with CR # 7 at the Saucer community. Turn south and proceed approx. 2 1/2 miles to the intersection (on the right) with CR # 5 and proceed into the Butler Springs community. I presume the cemetery is around Butler Springs although I have never been there.
