Steve and Robert,
It is great to hear from both of you!! I am happy to know that your family owns the land that my family once lived on. I am planning a visit to the site and it is wonderful to know now who owns it. I have planned a trip to go up there in February.
I was going to find out who owned the land and if I could go on the site. I would never go on anyone's land with permission! I have the google site maps and the nursery is what I am seeing on it. This is WONDERFUL news for me. I would like to get with you at that time if possible. I would love to share my history files with you. I have a very large collections of pictures and personal letters of William Walker. I have traved all over the southeast gathering material about William Walker. As I once told you he is my gggg-grandfather!! This is great news and I am almost in tears. I have researched my Walker family for years. This is truly the site! I am retired and can go ANYTIME and it will be nice for us to meet. Please answer and let me know when we can get together and share our knowledge and history!!! I am a member of the Ma-Chis Lower Creek Tribe of Alabama.
