The Alabama in the Civil War Message Board

Simon B Weaver

Hello All,

I've posted questions several times on this most excellent website and obtained info I was unable to locate elsewhere. It is my sincere hope that the "karma" is still good and one of you gentlemen (or ladies!) may have a clue to send my way. Simon B Weaver was born in Coaling, Tuscaloosa in 1834. Son of Jesse Weaver and Rebecca Sanford. I have been unable to locate him after the 1850 census. However....someone has posted on a distant family tree that he died during "The War Between the States" in Nashville, Davidson, Tennesse---1863. Neither month nor day included and no source citation. Since he was in his late 20's at the time, I'm not even sure what STATE he resided in when the war began. Does Davidson, Tennessee mean anything to the civil war experts here? I've posted questions re: Simon previously but I didn't have the Davidson info at the time. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely

Rachelle
