Gentlemen,
Thank you for your help, but I'm afraid you have mist the gist of my question. I know through research and oral family history that my ancestor was at the General Hospital, Camp Watts, Notasulaga, AL from 1864 through the end of the war, and was assigned to the duties I have previously mentioned during that time. My question was in relation to what information I should put on his VA headstone that would be accurate. I assume I could put:

William Monroe Stanfield

Pvt Co B Hospital

Camp Watts Notasulga, Ala

1830 1896

Provided there is room on the headstone for it.
