Rachelle: I can confirm that Simon B. Weaver is listed the undertakers records (W. R.Cornelius) as being dying on November 4, 1861 in Nashville (before it's occupation by Federal Forces) and was buried in Nashville's Old City Cemetery, age is listed as 35. In 1869 the Confederate Dead were removed from the Old City Cemetery and reburied in a Mass Grave called Confederate Circle in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee. There are various web sites available to see this Confederate Burial site and the beautiful Confederate Monument that stands above these brave men and boys from across the South!

If you have any biographical information on your brave ancestor or a photograph you would like to share with me for my upcomming book on these burials, I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Tim Burgess
