Alan, his name appears to be Daniel R. W. McRae, born 1803 Sneedsboro, Anson County, NC, died March 1849. He married Margaret Bracy and had 11 kids, including Dandridge. He was son of a Daniel McRae, and first cousin of the more famous Colin J. McRae (1813-75).
