I am interested in learning how regiments were moved by rail from Auburn, Alabama to Huntsville, Alabama and how they may have moved from Huntsville, Alabama to Richmond, Virginia. I have read about regiments being moved by two companies at a time. Is there a book or are there any references I can read, or is there someone who has studied railroad troop movements that I should contact for this information?
