Alan, as always thanks for the great information! Very interesting. As you mention, some of the sources appear to have conflicting information with respect to this line's northern terminus and operation during the war, but which is right? Its junction with the A&TRR at Lime Kiln does not seem to be in question, but its southern terminus also seems unclear. It definately crossed the Cahaba river, based on the accounts of Wilson's troopers crossing the railroad bridge there. Considering that Wilson ordered the bridge burned, the line must have extended at least to Hillsboro.
