There is only one card in Pvt. Edmond Dees' file.... his name appears on a muster roll for company K 27 Ala Inf dated April 28, 1865 at Greensboro, N.C., Paroled at Greensboro, N.C. on May 1, 1865. He is marked "Present". Enlisted for the war on Sept 7, 1863 at Pollard, Ala by Capt. M. White.

There is nothing in his file that suggests his age or place of residence. He was a late addition to the regiment and probably enlisted at Camp Pollard (South Alabama), but did not reside at Pollard.

The Regiment was organized in TN in 1861 with men from North Alabama Counties.

I found an Edmund Dees, in Pike County, Alabama in 1860 (born abt. 1821) who appears to have a grandson named Henry H. Dease born 1887, by his son William J. Dees born abt. 1860.

(William J. Dease age 39, 1900 Pike County w/son Henry H. age 13).

Edmond Dees was residing in Barbour County in 1850.

Camp Pollard sorta fits for a late enrollee from Pike County in 1863. Could be him, but can't be sure.

I didn't find anything in the ADAH database on him.

Did not locate a burial place.
