george, thats very interesting. lookout mountain is a good ways from chatanooga. i won der did he get seperated, go awol, or something else entirley. did it say how he was captured? he lived an died in wayne county ms, had several childern. has a csa tombstone. but i dont see where he ever applied for a confederate pension but maybe i just aint found it yet. for some reason he was the only one of 5 or so brothers who served. he is the son of my 4th great grandfather nathaniel hazzard waller. he is burried in waller ridge cematary in north wayne county ms
