Looking for Andrew Jackson Conner

Trying to find the service record of Andrew Jackson Conner in Alabama. AJ was from Butler Co, AL area. He was born Jan 1847, so the AJ Connors in the 27th and 2nd don't seem to be him.

He had older brothers, W. H. & D. Conner, in the 17th Ala Infantry, Co C, enlisted 1861. He had other Seale relatives in Co C & D.

Andrew Jackson Conner's youngest brother, George Washington Connor, was in the 62nd Ala Infantry, Co B, and enlisted in 1864. This was basically a unit of very young men (boys) and where I would have expected to find Andrew Jackson Conner, but online records do not show him here or anywhere. In 1864 AJ would have been 17 years old. His family knows that he was wounded in the foot or leg during his service and later walked with a limp. AJ died of disease in 1907, his wife a week earlier, and no online records I can find, show anything for him. Any help is appreciated. A friend wants to get his great grandfather Connor's record, but we cannot locate his regiment. Do you guys have a more complete listing for the 62nd or 17th?

Thanks so much, Rebecca B. Moss
