I've been looking for a Benjamin W. E. Wilson who was born ca 1829 in SC; possibly York Co SC. Have nothing else on him except that his father, William, moved to Lebanon, DeKalb Co AL and was on that 1860 census. He may have also have lived in Lebanon, DeKalb Co AL in 1860. I believe there was a Benjamin Wilson who was from DeKalb Co who served in the Civil war. Or, would someone born ca 1829 be too old to serve in that war?

Looking for information about this soldier to see if he might possibly be the Benjamin I seek. Does he belong to anyone on this site?
