Private J. B. Shivers, Company E, 14th Alabama, is reported wounded in action during the Seven Days Battles around Richmond Virginia, June 26 1862 to July 1, 1862. J. B. Shivers, Musician, Company E, 14th Alabama, was killed on June 30, 1862 at the Battle of Frayser’s Farm, Virginia (Source: History of the Fourteenth Regiment of Alabama Volunteers, by Marshall B. Hurst)

J. B. Shivers, Private, Company E, 14th Alabama, enlisted on July 1, 1861 at LaFayette, Alabama. J. B. Shivers, Private, Company E is reported wounded during the Seven Days Battles around Richmond, Virginia in June 1862. J. B. Shivers appears on a report of sick and wounded at Chimborazo Hospital Number 2, Richmond, Virginia for the month of July 1862. He is reported to have a gunshot wound of the knee, thigh, and foot. He is reported to have died on July 15, 1862. On company muster rolls for October, 1862, Private J. B. Shivers is reported to have died on July 10, 1862 of wounds received in battle before Richmond.
