Don't know German so you will have to tell me what that means. No, I don't believe being POW's they were not like other men because they were fighting for Germany and Hitler. I'm just saying some of them went about their work and didn't cause any trouble and some of them cause trouble all the time. They were paid twenty-five cents a day for making wooden crates.
My Uncle was a Guard and after the war was over one of the POWs came back to Lamar Co. (Tx)several years later with his son and stayed with my Uncles family until he could find work. On the other hand another POW tried to kill him with a slat.
