My gg-gf was in the 5ht Ala Infantry Regiment, Company B. His name is James R. Wilson, and he enlisted in Calhoun. I read the link someone posted with interest. I'm wondering if there is any way to find out specific information about my relative. He apparently has a service file. I'm wondering if there would be anything interesting in it. Someone told me pension files are more interesting than service files, but I don't know if this is so.
