Capt William Taylor Co A 5 AL Calvary Reeves Bat

I recently discovered the Confederate Pension Application for one of my gr-grandfathers. It was filed by his wife in San Saba, San Saba County, Texas and lists his service as Captain W. W. Taylor, Co "A", 5th Alabama Calvary, Reeves Battalion. I have spent the last several days researching his service and am not finding anything. From the family records, he was living in Randolph County, Alabama during the 1860's. Any help in finding any of his records would be appreciated.
