Greg: Are you sure about his name? I found a W.L. Taylor in Hilliard's Legion, of which Reeve's Battalion was a part, but he was a private and a farrier who was discharged because of an eye defect. Do you have other info on this grandfather, especially his full name? Do you have any other sources for his having been a Confederate soldier? Please provide all you can, as I have just spent a good hour searching my (admittedly limited) sources, and I can't find anyone who matches him at this point!
