He appears to have been living near DeSotoville in Choctaw County in 1860. Can't locate a record of this man as an officer of any kind. A service files for J. N. Bishop, Co. "K", 5th Mississippi Regt., shows that he died of disease at Dawson Hospital, Greensboro GA, June 24, 1864.
