Deep Bottom, where Fussell's Mill was located, is about 10 miles southeast of Richmond via what was called the Darbytown Road. The adjacent battlefields of Gaines's Mill and Cold Harbor are on the peninsula about 20 miles east of Richmond. So in general, the Petersburg Campaign battlefields are geographically close to the Seven Days battlesfields.
