Thanks for the explanation of your purpose. The business partner must have been John Turrentine, whose marker is also found in the Athens City Cemetery. Another marker in the cemetery is that of John James Turrentine. This man served as 1st Lieutenant in the company recruited by Capt. Higgins. He responded to state veterans inquiries recorded as the 1907 Confederate Veterans Census of Alabama. The original member of the family to come to Alabama was John Turrentine, born 1755 in Pennsylvania.
