According to the 1860 US Census, John P Pinckard is listed as the older brother of James H. Pinckard; 18 years of age at the time of the census so born +/- 1842; they were both sons of William T and Susan M. Clifton Pinckard. I also found information that William T Pinckard died in 1864 as a casualty of the War between the States...will verify that information.
