I think I refer to the Kerr's and Whitworth rifles, .45 caliber. supposedly with a pretty good range of one mile. Seems to me a gun like this would be rare and only issued to the very best of the best marksman.Could you tell me where I might find more info on how, when, to whom these guns would have been issued. Were they American made or made in England.
