J. H. Marris Co E 12th Alabama Inf

Today, Oct 1, 2011, My SCV Camp was working in the Massanutten Cemetery in Woodstock, Virginia. On one of the head stones is the name "J. H. Marris Co E 12th Alabama." The Cemetery was established in 1896 and in 1898 the remains of soldiers from the area around Woodstock were removed and buried in Holly Circle of the Cemetery. I know that the 12th Alabama was in Woodstock in 1862, 1863, and 1864 as my Great Grandfather was in Company F of the 12th. Any info on J. H. Marris will be included in a history of the Soldiers in the Cemetery
