* This company subsequently became (New) Company F, 5th Regiment Alabama Infantry

** During the time he was unable to discharge his duties in the field as 2nd Lieut., he devoted his time to attending the sick in his regiment and at the 1st Alabama Hospital in Richmond, Va. since June 1, 1862
