W. M. Taylor, Private, Company K, 10th Regiment Alabama Infantry, enlisted November 3, 1862 at Culpepper, Virginia by Lt. Col. Caldwell for the war, wounded by Grapeshot depressing frontal bone, admitted Alabama Hospital, 2nd Div., n.d., Virginia, attached to General Hospital, Staunton, Va. July 22, 1863, wounded, recorded on the 25th as "Taylor is improving," resident of Childeisburg, Alabama, furloughed 60 days , July 29, admitted Receiving and Wayside Hospital, No. 9 July 26, 1863, transfered next day to G. H. No. 2, furloughed from hospital for 60 days July 27, 1863, absent on July & August, 1863 muster roll having been recorded back from leave, present at the Sep. & Oct. , 1863 muster, surrendered April 9, 1865 at Appomattox Court House,

Note: The script on his Medical Card Numbers envelope slip written by War Department Clerks, ca 1900, could certainly be mistaken for Saylor.
