Re: William M Braden, 10th Alabama Regt

Alan - The William Braden we were discussing is the wrong one. My William Braden was born in Talladaga, AL 1828-1830, not St. Clair, AL. According to a cousin, he did serve in the 3rd Battalion MS Infantry (Hardcastles & Williams) which was expanded into the 45th MS Infantry. My cousin insists that he died in the war, but he doesn't know exactly when. It could have been before the 3rd Batt. was changed to the 45th? His wife remarried in Dec. of 1865, so he apparently died before that. Is there any place we can get his pension records? His wife's name was Amanda Elizabeth Braden. Thanks so much for your time.
