Adam Yearian, Private, Capt. Jefferson Falkner's Company (Chambers Cavalry), Alabama Cavalry,* enlisted September 28, 1861 in Obion County, Tennessee by Jeff. Falkner for the war, recorded on the October 31, 1861 muster roll as absent, detailed to wait on sick at State line, Kentucky, no other records

* This company was subsequently assigned to the 8th (Wade's) Regiment Confederate Cavalry as Company B

This company was mustered into Confederate service August 3, 1861 at West Point, Georgia. The muster roll for the period August 3 to October 31, 1861, dated October 31, 1861 was held at Camp Beauregard, Kentucky and is the last surviving muster roll on record for this company.

Adam Yearian, Private, Company B, 8th Regiment Confederate Cavalry,** enlisted September 28, 1861 in Obion County, Tennessee by Capt. Falkner for the war, discharged on Surgeons certificate of disability May 16, 1862, enlisted August 19, 1862 in Chambers County, Alabama by Maj. Swanson for the war, recorded absent on February 29, 1864, ordered to report to Col. at Atlanta, Georgia February 19, 1864 by order of Gen. Johnson, later on June 30 reported with dismounted Battalion, at the end of the year reported as Detailed in Commissary Department August 27, 1864, recorded on an undated Receipt Roll for clothing as Military Prison Guard, Atlanta, no other records

** This company was formerly Captain Falkner's Company Alabama Cavalry which was assigned to Cole's Battalion Louisiana and Alabama Cavalry (an unorganized command) and subsequently to the 2nd (Brewer's) Battalion Mississippi and Alabama Cavalry as Company F.

The 8th (Wade's) Regiment Confederate Cavalry (also known as the 2nd Regiment Mississippi and Alabama Cavalry was formed in May, 1862, by the addition of three companies which had formerly srevice in the 1st (Beall') Battalion Alabama Cavalry, in the 2nd (Brewer;s) Battalion Mississippi and Alabama Cavalry.
