I've read about the theft of the N.B. Forrest bust in the Confederate cemetery in Selma. This is very upsetting to me as well, as I believe local politicians have whipped up a fever among their followers to direct their anger at a long dead Confederate soldier's image, rather than, a failed education system, rampant crime, out of wedlock births and high unemployment. HOWEVER, I can't allow this thread to continue as an opinion-based outpouring.
