I too am concerned about the theft of the Forrest statue in Selma. I also have personal concerns about how the American Civil War/ War Between the States is presented in our public schools and by the media. Unfortunately, I need to ask that we attempt to return to the primary purpose of this site, which is, to share historical and genealogical information pertaining to Alabama and Alabamians in the American Civil War / War Between The States. Brief departures from the topic of this message board are certainly acceptable, but we need to limit these postings to maintain this site as a source of reliable historical and sourced information, exclusively related to Alabama.
