Thanks for your research. I will check out the web sites you mentioned. I am pretty familar with the 5th Alabama Battalion, for I have done my own research and had four ancestors that served in the unit. However, I didn't know much about Captain Bush, the CO of Company B. I'm also wondering if the Calhoun Sharpshooters and the White Plains Rangers trained in the Jacksonville area before being sent to Virginia.
