Re: John M. Powers, Franklin Blues

I have not been able to locate John M. Powers, his wife Adeline, their daughter Mary, or their son Jimmy in 1860. Neither could Alan Pitts (several months ago).
All except the son were on 1850 Federal Coosa Co, AL census, family # 484. John was about age 26 then and was born in GA.

In the last few hours, I've found a listing for John M. Powers on the 1860 U.S. Census, b 1839 AL, residence Franklin, AL, page 42, family # 294, but I can't
access the actual census to see names of his family. This John was about 15 years younger than my John Powers though and was born in AL. So this is
not helpful unless the census taker made serious recording errors.

Thank you for looking. I wonder who recently posted the info about Lt. John M. Powers on the Alabama Civil War Service Database. It is linked to the
Alabama Archives so the documentation should be accurate. Maybe I should call the Archives.
