Check out your nearest Sons of Confederate Veteran Camps. I first joined with the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Camp No. 700. We met at a bank in May Retta. The historian at the Kennesaw National Military Park was a member, a felllow named Kelly. But, that was back in 85'.

There is also the Marriatte Confederate hospital and cemetery. However, most of the markers are unknowns. The folks at the SCV camp should be helpful in chasing these leads down.
