Re: Captain Rinaldo McKeen Greene 6th AL Regt
Brandon, you wouldn't happen to know what the gist of the letters were, would you? Capt. Rinaldo McK. Greene's uncle, James Rinaldo Nicks died c1861 and his Aunt, Frances Rair Nicks c1864. Both had visited Opelika, AL as late as 1859, returning to Brooksville, Hernando Co., FL. Their 3 sons, William R., Francis R. and Benjamin R. Nicks served during the Civil War. The sons, 1st cousins to Capt. Greene passed through AL as well. Francis and Benjamin died before and after 1870 due to contraction of disease and war injuries. Would like to know if Capt. Greene's letters knew of his uncle and aunts exact dates of death.
