Yes, I was implying that maybe, Frank used a different spelling, or an alias, to throw off the Conscript Officials. Returned a second time and that was the man who passed in 4 June 1864?
Also, I thought maybe Maj. Walthall, had organized his "permanent party" soldiers and not the conscripts, as rapid deployment or ARF to help in a local emergency. All soldier's are trained infantry first and cooks, medic's, and clerks etc, second. I got the impression that's what made up Walthalls Bttn.
Many times in the past and the not distant past, Pougie's and Remf's have had to get in a hole and fight next to the the line grunt's.
