The only record I have been able to locate is a letter dated February 16, 1867, Montgomery, to the Gov. of the State of Alabama attesting to the acceptability of the artificial limb manufactured by Strasser & Callahan of Montgomery.

Gilbert Tindle Deason
M, #6566, b. 17 November 1828, d. 13 March 1873

Gilbert Tindle Deason married Melissa Naomi McMillian, daughter of Lemuel McMillian. Gilbert Tindle Deason was born on 17 November 1828. He was the son of Absolom Deason and Zipporah Appling. Gilbert Tindle Deason married Martha Prentice on 30 March 1854. Gilbert Tindle Deason died on 13 March 1873 at age 44; smallpox.
