2nd Lt. W.R.D. Huff, 22nd Alabama Infantry

I am searching for information on Warren R.D. Huff (W.R.D. Huff) who lived in Cherokee County, Alabama in 1861. Warren served as a 2nd lieutenant in the Cherokee Beauregards in the 22nd Alabama Infantry Regiment and was stationed in Mobile in the fall and winter of 1861. Later he and his unit were sent to Corinth, MS and he participated in the Battle of Shiloh in April 1862. He survived that battle and went with the army that summer to Chattanooga. That was the last anyone back home heard from him. I suspect that he was killed that fall in one of the battles in Kentucky, or at the Battle of Murfreesboro in Tennessee. Warren wrote regular letters home during the war (1861-62) and some of those letters are in the posecession of descendants. He was then engaged to my great great aunt Angeline Hood. Any information on W.R.D. Huff would be appreciated.

Thanks,
