Alan P.-Been awhile since we have tried to solve what happen to my 2gGrandfather. I have discovered one family tale{published by a S. Turner] is not a fact-I have located the Futch Cem. in the swamp of Sou. Ms. There is a A. G. Buried there-the marker says he died in the CSA-The marker is not CSA-recently this man has been identified-My 2gGrandfather is not buried in the Futch Cem.-unless his headstone has been stolen[which I doubt]-I found a plaque at the Chattonooga CSA with a G. W. Brown buried there being from Ala-I have recently been told of two other family tales [1] he survived the war but never returned home[2]he was killed in the war-but no one knows where he might be buried-I am now trying to determine just who is buried in the Chattagooga CSA Cem. You have been a great help to me-but this has has turned into "chasing your tail in a house of mirrows." I have resolved that I will never find GWB.

Regards-Wm. E. Brown,Jr.
