Scott - He probably died at home (Greenville, Butler County.) Records indicate that he was slightly wounded at Thompson's Station, March 5, 1863. His wound may have been, or may have become, more serious than first noted. He was discharged at Tuscumbia, on a Surgeon's Certificate of disability, April 8, 1863, and was given an allowance for travel to Greenville as well as back pay. His discharge gives a good physical description. His record jacket contains 8 cards, and copies can be ordered here:
