Just for the record, ADAH has some records for Evan Page Gewin. I acquired from them a copy of his widows' pension ap containing quite a bit. There is other ifo partaining to enlistment, pay, etc. However, no data about his medical care. In a letter he wrote to a relative in the 1890s, he stated he was wounded in the side at Chicamauga, in the head at New Hope Church and in the leg and head at Spanish Fort.
