I am searching for any information (particularly postwar) for J. J. Scanlan. He had attended Yale University, and served on the staff of Col. W. A. Johnson and Brig. Gen. P. D. Roddey in the 4th Alabama Cavalry. He contributed information on Roddey's men for the Jordan and Pryor biography of Nathan Bedford Forrest. He was born in the North according to an old "Confederate Veteran." Any information would be of great assistance. Zack Waters
