ADAH has many collections of newspapers, some of which have been microfilmed and are available on inter-library loan, or for purchase. Covering counties where companies of the 44th were organized, some editions of these papers published during the war years are on microfilm: Jacksonville Republican, Selma Morning Dispatch, and Selma Evening Dispatch and perhaps a few others.
