I have an article included in The Heritage of Wilcox County, Alabama that references Company C, 3rd Alabama Cavalry. Source is a newspaper article printed in the Wilcox Progressive Era newspaper May 16, 1901. It includes a reference to a letter from Major Josiah Robins to his wife at Lower Peach Tree, Wilcox County, Al on 11/11/1863 which tells of his unit returning from a raid on Rosecrans' Army where they captured over 800 wagons, etc. They were part of Wheeler's command at the time and I believe this would have been the Sequatchie Valley Raid (?).
