I'm sure way back when, the cards in each envelope were in apple pie order. However, over the years, with researcher
going through these records, the cards order were disturbed.
I know for myself, when pulling the cards out of the enveoples and reviewing them, rather than run to the copy machine each time I wanted to copy, I'd wait till I had a stack of cards, copy, then randomly place them back in the envelope.
I rather doubt the Footnote/Fold3 folks were anything but production workers. Get them copied ASAP.
I failed to check the American CW Research Database for our two Blacks. Here is what they show. It would be interesting to find who the contributor was for John W. and find out what he knows.
