Thanks for your kind posting. I considered Patrick Reagan in the past, but doubt that he is my gggrandfather. I never heard that he was wounded or taken prisoner. My Patrick (according to a diary and OB) left Mobile in 1861 in the Mobile Independent Scouts, 8th Alabama. His name was located in a book in the Mobile LHG Library, entitled "Mobile Companies in the Civil War," Page. 48. BUT, he cannot be found on any other data bases, including Alabama Archives, Fold 3, etc. By the way, my quest has uncovered that there is an error in this book. Capt. Cleveland, and many on the company "G" list are all shown in National Data Bases as in Co. "H". Co. "G' was the German Fussiliers. Patrick was a member of the Robert E. Lee Benevolent Association, and I wish I could find a roster.
